Colorado Injury + Pain Specialists is pleased to announce a partnership with Roger S. Miller, Ph.D. Dr. Miller will serve as lead Clinical Psychologist for CIPS and is proud to be moving his private practice to the facility. As part of a unique and comprehensive multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment of pain, Dr. Miller will work with patients in the clinical setting, both privately and in specialty pain-specific support groups, who can benefit from individual attention to managing the variety of physical, mental, emotional and psychological issues often related to the existence and treatment of their chronic and/or acute pain.

Dr. Miller brings a unique perspective and years of extensive professional experience to the facility’s comprehensive pain management approach and looks forward to being an integral part of both the clinical and ancillary services offered as part of the facility.

As a dedicated psychologist with over 20 years of expertise treating individuals of all ages, Dr. Miller is widely respected throughout the Grand Junction community and amongst his peers for both his technical and therapeutic skills. With a vast array of experience and advanced certifications, including expertise in pain management and health psychology, psychological and neuropsychological testing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, treatment of anxiety disorders and knowledge in working with psychotropic medications, Dr. Miller brings a level of expertise to the Colorado Injury + Pain Specialists team and will be instrumental in meeting the needs of all patients seeking to benefit from our services.

A resident of the Grand Valley since 1994, and Colorado native, Dr. Miller values the many benefits of living in the local community and has dedicated his professional career to helping others maximize their enjoyment of life, despite any physical and/or emotional challenges. After receiving an undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder and Master and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in Berkeley, CA, Dr. Miller returned to Colorado to establish his professional practice. Since beginning his career in 1991, he has served as a Psychology Intern at Denver General Hospital, a Psychotherapist for Mental Health Services in Denver, CO, a Psychologist for the Jefferson Center of Mental Health in Lakewood, CO, a Psychologist for St. Mary’s Hospital & Medical Center in Grand Junction and an Adjunct Faculty member for both Regis University in Denver, CO and Adams State College in Alamosa, CO. In 2006, Dr. Miller co-founded Grand River Psychiatry, a well-respected multidisciplinary private psychiatric practice located in Grand Junction.

Dr. Miller treats a full array of symptoms related to health psychology, including behavioral pain management, brain injuries, dementia, chronic illness and pre-surgical evaluations. In addition, he offers support and intervention for a number of psychiatric difficulties, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, PTSD, obsessive compulsive disorder and more. An avid Colorado outdoorsman, Dr. Miller enjoys golfing, hiking, biking and camping. He also loves to travel and cook. Among his greatest accomplishments is raising two children, a daughter who is currently enrolled in college and a son who is finishing his last year in high school.
